Our History
ARD Trucking Company was founded in Darlington, SC in 1945 by Mr. Jessie "Sambo" Ard with a 1938 truck and a wrecked trailer he had repaired. His son, C. Allen Ard, joined the family business and is now the President and CEO. Since its humble beginnings, Allen has continued to build upon his fathers success. Under Allen's Leadership, ARD Trucking has grown to a company of more than 200 employees, with five additional terminals in Lebanon, TN, Timmonsville, SC, Greenwood, SC, Georgetown, SC, and Hemingway, SC.
